How To Help

You can help in the following ways:

  1. Give directly to the organization of your choice.
  2. Help your local Jewish community (synagogue, school, JCC, etc.) form a partnership with an orphanage, school, youth group, congregation, or other community in the former Soviet Union.
  3. If you are a student age 5-17, check out our Team Yeladim page and consider supporting one of the listed organizations as part of your school or bar/bat mitzvah project.
  4. If you're a college student, get involved in Hillel project.
  5. Let people know about these children! Send friends the URL for this site (www.yeladim.org), write an article for your congregation's newsletter, call a reporter for your local Jewish newspaper, ask your local branch of the Jewish Federation what they can do to help, etc.
  6. Adopt a Jewish child! See our Adoption links for details.
